Echo Parks...Ms. Parks if ya' nasty....

Well, she made it home today!  She's just as gorgeous as I thought she'd be but I had to boil wash her hair because the bang had some serious glue in it.  I do have one small complaint, her legs are a little loose.  Not loose as in they will fall apart but loose as in...if you hold her from her ankle or shin her body falls backward.  I know eventually that's going to happen with all or most of the DG's and some of the other articulated dolls...but you want tight joints for brand new dolls.  Also...because of her very pale skin tone it's likely that I'll only be able to replace her body with another FR which means more money. :(

So, without further ado...here are a few quick snap shots of her (please excuse the bad lighting).

  1. I just saw a Jasper repaint on the Doll Diva's board: http://members.boardhost.com/DollDivas/msg/1296826925.html

Check it out. I dunno, I like the original better. She's so pretty.

  2. @ Dani - WOW, beautiful repaint. I agree with you though, I think Jasper is pretty the way she is. The repaint vamped her up a bit where as the factory Jasper has a sweet innocence but with an edge. It's rare that I see a repaint that looks better than the original doll. However, thank you so much for sending me that link because I would love to have my S.I.S. Trichelle doll's eyes changed to look forward and maybe Chandra's too. I think that artist has the most gorgeous repaint I've seen to date. :) I sent them a message to see if they do commissioned work.

  3. I really like her. She looks better to me with her carefree hairdo. I am not a huge fan of the Dynamite dolls. I like them, but they don't jump out at me to make me want to buy one. I am a HUGE fan of Poppy Parker, but I don't have her either. I too prefer Jasper's original. And, I too want to change my S.I.S eyes. FYI, maybe you should consider putting a doll on a LIV body to make her a tad bit shorter to match up a little better with Byron (I think that's his name). The combo of short and small head, makes Byron a hard one to match up. Do you have any smaller head dolls?

  4. @ Vanessa - Thanks, I'm happy with Jasper/Echo. :) Oh, I love Poppy Parker's pouty look, she's out of my price range though.

I am considering LIV bodies now because of your blog. Hopefully, I can find complexion matches with Echo...she's got a porcelain complexion. If not, I think Byron will stay single until I can find a girl for him. :) Echo & Morgan actually have the smallest heads among my girls but I guess his is still noticeably smaller. :(

  5. I agree with Vanessa. I had that same problem with a few of my Joe's. The head is small so you have to find a short doll with a small head for balance. When I rebodied one of my twin BFC dolls on to a shorter Fashion Fever wave II Tereasa bodies (troll body) she(America)is now the perfect size for Joes!

  6. @ Ms. Leo - That's a great idea! I think I'm gonna go with a LIV body as Vanessa suggested and my BFC Aliesha and never thought about her as an older girl until I saw Niels Doll Room blog. I think Aliesha or Katelynn will be perfect for Byron. :)
