Stardoll 2013?

Hey guys!  I wanted to make a quick post in response to some of the comments from my last post, when I spoke about new Stardolls.  I'm not exactly sure of the release date, although I'd heard talk about it being this fall but can't be sure.

So, in this post will be images of the new Stardoll line-up AND the link where you're supposedly able to pre-order.  I've not ordered from this site before but I've seen the promo picks on flickr.  One quick thing, I noticed there wasn't an AA version in this line-up.  I kind of scratched my head a little on that but thought I'd wait until they're officially out before I start pouting.  Because, I remember not seeing the AA Stardoll in the first line-up this year until they were officially out.  But...that could have just been me being late to the party as usual.

Oh, to answer Vanessa's question about new fashion packs, I've included photos of those too.

So, here you go.......

  1. Promo photos are hard to judge from but so far, I like this Redhead a lot better. I'm diggin' the Blonde with streaks in the purple dress. And, I like the Brunette. More than likely, I won't bother with the other Blonde...

    1. Me too. I hope this is a project that will really happen. I emailed the person regarding pre-order and never received a response.

  3. Thanks for posting this! I love the clothes more than the girls this round but the redhead is pretty cool looking...

    1. I agree, the clothes are way cooler. I also like the redhead, and maybe the brunette.

    1. I'm hoping I'll be financially able by then too. But, I put a question mark near 2013 because I'm not sure what the release date will actually be. By-the-way, I named my MOTM Nichelle after you, LOL. She's way too exotic looking to just be Nichelle. So, she's Ebony Nichelle. ;)

  5. You know I had no interest in the first release of the Stardolls (not until they were $7.50 at Target ^_^) and I gotta say I'm feeling the same about the second versions. Looks like I'm going to have to wait until they clearance because they just don't rattle my cage.

    1. I must say, the current version really wowed me. Especially, my favorite of the bunch, the AA version. I'm a little disappointed there's no AA version this round but if they're as jazzy as the promo, I won't let that stop me.

  7. Thanks for the info Tracy. I am a little disappointed in the clothes on the Rios. They remind me of the Barbie clothes. I like both the gowns. The fashion packs are okay, but what is up with the blue shoes in the first one?

    1. Not a problem at all. I hope they actually release. For me, the purple furry dress doesn't remind me of Barbie at all. It's kind of edgy. I do think the pink gown looks like Barbie, and maybe the slinky floral number worn by the Rio Redhead but other than that, I'm diggin' their clothes. LOL...I must say, I kinda like the blue boots. Too bad only Liv can fit them. :(

  9. I love the accessories packs. This year Mattel caught be off guard! There are so many dolls I want in the catalog the Stardolls will be passed on once again! Thanks for letting me know.

    1. Me too. I agree, after a number of disappointments, Mattel comes out of left field with Tim Gunn's fashion line. I've got to make room for those fashion packs. I think I'm the opposite on the dolls this catalog. When I look at all the MOTM dolls, Hard Rock, Next Top Models, etc. I think the collectors line is going downhill. Most of them look play-line with extravagant gowns and crazy prices. :( The only one that interests me, is Liz Taylor in the black dress. But that price...I think I'll pass.

  10. Thanks for the info and pics. They look awesome. But the problem with them is their lack of articulation – having to rebody them makes them an expensive endeavor. We also all know now that their clothes are not a great fit on other dolls. Still, I might be tempted…
